Structuring the rice value chain and a poultry partnership, between 2017 and 2023.
The challenge
The 2SCALE programme, run by IFDC, builds inclusive farm value chains: growers, cooperatives and buyers bound by contracts, with a place for young people and women.
How the assignment unfolded
Between 2017 and 2023, we supported the IFDC and 2SCALE programmes in the field, over several assignments. In the rice value chain, we mapped the players and supported contracting between producers, cooperatives and buyers. We also supported the governance of organisations and the inclusion of young people and women. A poultry component added financial education and support for village savings and loan associations (AVEC). Throughout the assignments, we promoted the programme and collected monitoring data.
